Exciting times - BETA fair, NZ & beyond

Trace was lucky enough to be invited to join the lovely team at Science Supplements at the BETA Gala dinner last night, where they had been nominated for an industry award in one of the most hotly contested categories - Nutritional Helpline of the Year.  Science Supplements actively engage in research looking into the efficacy of their formulations.  While they didn't win the category this time, they definitely are one to watch in future!

Later this week she will head to New Zealand, with visits scheduled to riders, owners and trainers from racing, dressage, showing and show jumping backgrounds.  If she plays her cards right, she might even get to visit a beach or two.

I want to be an engineer ...

It could be said that several of the people involved in Ergon Equine have a niggling feeling that they may have missed their calling as engineers ... however we all got to indulge a little and be engineers by proxy the other day, at a kick off meeting for the next phase of saddle development.

With the conversation bouncing between a yachting expert, a fellow with supercar expertise, and a third bloke who was involved in the olympic torch for London 2012, it is safe to say that the engineering aspect of the development is in good hands.

We have a Master Saddle Fitting Consultant in our midst ...

We have a Master Saddle Fitting Consultant in our midst ...

Although she has been involved in saddle design and research since 2009, our Co-founder & CEO Trace Ward felt that she wanted to gain a more traditional saddlery qualification to help ensure that she is able to provide a comprehensive fitting solution, not only with saddles designed by Ergon Equine, but also with those designed by other manufacturers.

We're happy to announce that she is now a fully-fledged Master Saddle Fitting Consultant (MSFC)!

Endorsed by the Utrecht University School of Veterinary Science, this international saddle fitting qualification has the broadest scope and deepest reach of any course offered. It is informed by the current and growing body of academic research, and enables practitioners to apply the newest validated learning to saddle fitting, in order to improve the comfort of horses and enable a more rewarding horse-rider partnership.
